Projects Projects

Intercontinental Hotel

Client: Intercontinental Hotel, SA (via Lai Industries)

Year: 2025

Power Edge Engineering designed, tested and commissioned an 11 kV automatic transfer scheme for new Schneider Electric high-voltage switchgear. Following comprehensive FAT and SAT validation, the system was successfully deployed during a planned outage and operated as intended on first commissioning. The scheme provides high-reliability redundant power, automatically transferring to an alternate feeder within 250 milliseconds of a loss of mains event, ensuring continuity of supply for critical operations.

Power Water

Client: PowerWater, NT (via McMahon Services)

Year: 2026

Power Edge developed and validated the SEL protection relay settings for the Darwin River Dam Expansion Project. The solution incorporated advanced protection logic, coordinated timing schemes, inter-trips, blocking functions and local/remote operational controls to support reliable high-voltage power station protection. Extensive off-site testing confirmed full operational performance prior to installation, reducing commissioning time and lowering on-site project costs

Laucke Mills

Client: Laucke Mills, SA (via Tristar Electrical)

Year: 2025

Power Edge conducted a detailed power quality investigation at the Laucke Mills food processing facility to diagnose nuisance tripping and unexpected equipment behaviour. Through advanced waveform analysis and system assessment, our team identified the root causes of power system disturbances and provided solutions to improve asset coordination, electrical reliability and operational efficiency.

Bolivar Wastewater Treatment Plant

Client: SA Water Bolivar Wastewater Treatment Plant, SA (via Verbrec)

Year: 2026

Power Edge Engineering has been a trusted engineering partner to Verbrec, delivering ongoing design management, drafting and industrial engineering services at SAWater’s Bolivar Wastewater Treatment Plant. As part of the site's large-scale Sludge Thickening Upgrade, our team has led the design of critical electrical, power reticulation and instrumentation systems that support enhanced anaerobic digestion and increased renewable energy generation. The project represents a significant investment in sustainable infrastructure, transforming wastewater into a valuable energy resource while improving treatment performance.

Clean Peak Energy

Client: Clean Peak Energy, SA

Year: 2026

As the Tonsley Innovation District continues its rapid transformation, Power Edge was selected to support the integration of a major new commercial development into the district's evolving embedded HV network. Through comprehensive LV and HV protection coordination and grading studies, our team optimised system selectivity and fault response, ensuring reliable operation while enabling the network to scale efficiently with future growth.

VUDA Power Station

Client: VUDA Power Station, Fiji (via Infracon)

Year: 2026

Power Edge Engineering delivered an advanced arc-flash protection solution for the VUDA Power Station's ABB 11 kV switchgear, incorporating high-speed VAMP protection relays and ultra-fast arc detection technology. By dramatically reducing fault clearing times and limiting fault energy, the system enhances safety, protects critical power infrastructure and reduces the risk of costly generator and transformer damage. The result is a safer, more resilient power station with improved operational continuity.

Conflict Island

Client: Resort in Conflict Islands (via Infracon)

Year: 2026

Power Edge delivered the solar and BESS design for a remote luxury resort, creating a 172 kVA / 448 kWh sustainable microgrid that significantly reduces reliance on diesel generation. The system is projected to offset approximately 72,000 litres of diesel fuel each year and deliver annual fuel savings exceeding USD $85,000, improving both sustainability and operational efficiency.

Star Mountain Plaza

Client: Hilton Hotel PNG

Year: 2026

Power Edge is delivering a high-reliability microgrid design for a mixed-use conference and hotel development. The system provides seamless transfer of the site's megawatt-scale load to dual battery energy storage systems during grid interruptions, with automatic re- synchronisation to mains power. The result is uninterrupted operation, enhanced resilience and reliable power for guests, residents and conference facilities.
